Marianela del Pino-Rivera, CPA, MBA
Marianela has over 25 years of experience as a CPA advising clients on all aspects of accounting, taxation and financial management. Born in Cuba, Spanish was her first language. She has a BA in accounting from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of Rochester. She has been a trusted advisor to many nonprofits, small businesses and individual clients providing valuable advice and financial reports which are meaningful and easy to understand. She is on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Association of CPAs and received the Association’s Public Service Award in 2005 for her extensive work in the community. Her passion is financial literacy for all, especially minorities and youth. She has held many seminars on financial literacy and taxes at local high schools, colleges, and women’s organizations.
Marianela specializes in the complex issues of small businesses and international taxation. She works with many clients referred by immigration attorneys to explain and comply with the complex tax rules for G-4, J-1, O, L, and H visa holders, as well as foreign investors.

George Rivera, MBA, MCSE, Notary Public
George had a 30 year career in retail banking which began in New York City and ended in Washington, DC. He earned his MBA at George Washington University where he majored in finance and investments. During his extensive banking career, George consulted on all aspects of financial matters including obtaining and maintaining good credit, business and personal loans, cash and working capital management, trusts and investment planning. After leaving the banking industry, George became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He spent the next 10 years in government as a senior level manager utilizing his financial and technical background. He is a Viet Nam combat veteran who earned 8 medals including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He loves to play racquetball and will buy a Harley, one day.
